Austin Rivera '15 Recruiting Profile

I've played football since I was 5 years old. This game has taught me so much about the sport, life and myself. It's simply me and it's developed; work ethic, determination, motivation, and the art of failure ignites success. I plan on becoming  a detective for wherever the city I reside in is. With that being said, I plan on attending a school that offers criminal justice courses so I can obtain a bachelors degree and go through with beginning my career as a police officer then proving myself to eventually take an opportunity as a homicide detective. In my freshmen and sophomore year of high school I was impacted by distractions. This also had impacted my grades. I didn't find myself and apply myself until my junior year which I obtained a 3.6 GPA and haven't had a GPA below a 3.1 since. Growing up and maturing became a major role in my life when I began to gain understanding of the idea "the sky is the limit."
