Personal Statement

Hello Coach! I am a 18 year old Senior at Grand Valley High School in Parachute Colorado. I am currently 5'7" tall and 180 pounds. I currently bench press 250 pounds, squat 480, and I have been running a 4.6 second 40 yard dash. I am a natural leader both on and off the field. I am team captain and MVP for my Varsity team both last year and this season.  During my Senior campaign (Nine games one game missed to injury) I have gained 1600 yards on around 160 carries for an average of 9.5 yards per carry! My strength is yards gained after contact.  I am difficult to bring down.   I was recently awarded All Conference Running Back as well as being awarded First Team All State Athlete in 2A division. Also nominated for All Colorado consideration. I had a fantastic senior season this year and I look forward to four more years of football! I love the game of football. It is one of the driving forces of my life. You will not find someone who is more dedicated and gives 100 percent toward my goals, and one of my goals is to play football in college. I am open to schools big and small, from military academies, to small christian colleges. The important thing for me is that the school has a good academic program, good support for their athletes, and has available majors to match my interest. My Christian faith is a huge part of my life and I intend to make it a priority in my life during and after college. Last year I spent 2 months on the Amazon River building water systems and sharing my faith. It really was an amazing experience and opened my eyes to how the rest of the world lives. My goals for athletics in college is to be able to contribute to the team early and progress through college to be a team leader. Thank you very much for your consideration! I look forward to meeting you Coach!
