Garrett Boerhave '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello coaches, my name is Garrett Boerhave I am currently a Junior at Pueblo County Highschool in Pueblo, Colorado. I never grew up playing football, but I would watch the NFL and various college games with my father, and I always had an interest in the sport. My first true opportunity to play football wasn’t until high school, and even then, I didn’t play my freshman year because I wanted to focus on academics because of the difficulty of classes I was taking. Coming into my sophomore year I decided to jump into the sport and loved it from the moment I set foot on the field. Starting a year later then majority of my friends and teammates didn’t defeat me from the sport or spite my love for the game. Even with lack of knowledge of being a lineman, and the athletic ability to be a performance player, I continued to grind and get better every day on and off the field. I never gave up easily, on the dream I was pursuing to be a varsity football player for my high school. This past football season (2021) I accomplished that goal of becoming a starting offensive tackle. In college I plan to push myself and have the similar dream of being a starting play for the college I end up playing for.
