Personal Statement
My name is Boeing Brown, I am a Quarterback candidate from Brookfield, CT. it has been my goal since first playing sports to earn the opportunity to play Football in the NCAA. As a young Football Player I was honored to try multiple positions from Tight End to Quarterback, to Long Snap Center to PAT/FG holder, and Kicker, to as well defense as a Safety and Outside Linebacker. As a Freshmen I have had the honor to learn even more, to be coached by good coaches and start both as the Junior Varsity and Freshmen Quarterback. In addition, I was honored to also play in four of the Varsity games during the regular season to which the fast pace and practice have me ready for the next 3-seasons. Football is more then just a game, it is a way of life, it is about family, team, respect, honor, and hard work. As a Student Athlete, I understand that sports are very exciting and important, but education and social civility come first. My teachers are wonderful, they like me and I respect them all. I have been working very hard to maintain solid grades over a 3.2 GPA. I am striving to earn a 3.5 and better GPA along with other awards and participation in my school, community and with my sports teams. I respect my coaches, I believe we must work extra hard in the off season and that initiative will pay off when the season starts. I also enjoy Basketball and Track, I like to stay in shape at all times and enjoy the competition of all sports. At football camp last year, I won the MVP and Sportsmanship award for HS QB's, it was a surprise and honor to be recognized. My tallest family member is 6'8" and therefore as I am 15 years old, at 6'3" and my doctor believes I will grow a few inches taller. I am lifting regularly to gain positive muscle weight with a goal of 200-220 for college. I am already at 180 pounds, one of the 5 fastest in my grade, and eating very well and healthy. As a team leader, good student and punctual person, I believe I will bring vital sportsmanship, strong work ethics and team leadership to any new program. Although I am currently in Connecticut, I am open to many new opportunities, my goal for the last year has been to target UCONN, however I also think it would be an honor to play in Florida, Texas, Georgia, Carolina's, Midwest States, Mid-Atlantic, or North East States. I have a strong family support network and know that once decided, the school that selects me as a player will get the best I may possibly offer. I am still undecided as to major, but leaning toward a combination of business and art or graphic design. I have interests in Alterative Energy/Bio-technologies, Marketing, Education/Coaching, and Sports Medicine/fitness. My overall goal is to be selected for a Football Program or Scholarship where I can learn as a red shirt Freshmen and eventually earn the start as a Soph/Junior. I love Football, the game, the competition, the preparation, the friendships...It will be an honor to play for a supportive coach, program and school. I am a Christian with strong morals and very loyal. I believe in respect, hard work and sportsmanship. Thank you for your consideration and support. Very Respectfully, Boeing W. Brown Brookfield, CT Class of 2013
