Will Kirby '20 Recruiting Profile

I have enjoyed organized sports my whole life, and have been competitive by nature from a young age. Excelling in sports generally (football, soccer, basketball, baseball, lacrosse), I made a real commitment early in developing critical physical skills (speed, hand/eye coordination, strength), but it was football in particular that taught me teamwork, character and discipline. I am told by Coach Trifone that I have born instinct to see the field and have the ability to be proficient at several positions (Special Teams, WR, Saftey,  Linebacker and Kicker). I recently dropped Varsity Lacrosse (State Champions) to focus on football, the game I embrace most. The Darien Varsity Football team (State Champs 2015, 2016, 2017) exhibits a brotherhood spirit, which has allowed me to take a leadership role, while also acting as a mentor.  Most recently, I was given the honor to become the Co-Captain of our 2019 Varsity football team. I am excited to take my skills on and off the field to the college level, where my greater footprint awaits me!
