Personal Statement

High desire to win, and bringing all that I have makes me a valued team player and academic student.  I show up everyday, on time and ready to work.   Most of all, I love the game of football.  I want to get a college education and be a valued member of a football team.  I have a "can do" attitude and I can bring what is necessary on and off the field.

On the field I bring diversity, with my height speed ratio I can play many positions on the field.  So far in high school I have played  WR, DE,TE, OLB, S, PR, KR.  I am a sophomore with room to grow in height, speed, weight and strength.  Thank you for your consideration.

Awards and Activities

  • AwardsHonor Roll
  • ActivitiesI have been involved with non-profit organizations (Juvenile Diabetes, United Way, Heart Walks & numerous Sunshine Kids Events-Children with Cancer. I volunteered with Credit for Life, and been involved with some local community activities. I have helped with marketing, sponsorship, setting up and taking down with fundraisers for the Sunshine Kids each year since 2011. For the Marketing I assisted with creating the flyers, and passing them out at businesses around town. For sponsorship I walked to small and large businesses asking the managers if they would like to sponsor our event or provide a donation. I also helped for 3 years with the Gemma Moran United Way Food Drive. I would walk up and down the streets around my house and ask neighbors if they would like to donate food for the event. Each year I was able to collect several large bags of food for those people who couldn't make it to the drop off or who just had some extra food laying around. I assisted with Credit for Life when I was in middle school for two years. Credit for Life is an activity where a student picks a profession and then gets a sheet of paper telling the student how much a person would make after student loans and after taxes. Then they have to walk around the gym room and there are booths with different creditors: housing, car payments, electricity, furniture, etc. and the students have to see how much money they have left, teaching them about how to be independent. It gave me insight to making a good choice for a career and finding out ahead of time how much that career would make. I would join other volunteers and help the high school students find their budgets sheets and assist in setting up and taking down the booths. I live in a smaller community and during the holidays the stores have different events. One of the events I help out at is the Holiday Stroll. Each year at a Smore's station and help pass out graham crackers and marshmallows to the children. I also helped with setting up and taking the booths down. What first drew me to volunteering was my Mom started bringing me to 5K walks when I was in grade school for Juvenile diabetes and heart walks. Now I like to give back to the community and help others.
