Aarick Brown '22 Recruiting Profile

Unfortunately, for many families, college is something many dream about but never obtain. It is a dream that never becomes their reality and for several reasons. Amongst those many reasons are a number of which I could allow to hold me back from persevering as is necessary for me to perform at the collegiate level and become all that I aspire to be, but I refuse. I refuse to allow my dream of being a successful student athlete be a fading memory rather than an accumulation of milestones surpassed, accolades earned, and achievements made with intentionality and grave satisfaction. On the field I am responsible for much, and with this great responsibility comes much pressure that has disciplined me in regards to my work ethic, my mentality, and my ability to be an athlete that is defined by more than that of my stats, but by my academia as well. 

Academically I aspire to be one whose work is hands on as I desire, to continue to  be an innovative thinker, an influential physician within the field of sports medicine.  In this field I will learn significant information to help many more than just athletes and give back in ways that will better reflect my purpose and compliment my own abilities as the student athlete that I am.

 In comparison to those with similar dreams or even those that are not alike, our aspirations are much the same as they allude to days ahead that are far different than what we have grown to known, but I  cannot speak for the masses. I can truly only speak of my personal intentions. My intentions to further develop my work ethic both within the class and on the field, to put my best foot forward in all that I aim to do, and grow as is required of me to be all that I aspire to be. My dream is the blue print but opportunity is the door that I hope to soon walk through for my reality to be different than it ever was.
