As a two-sport athlete I have learned a lot about myself through Football and Baseball. I have learned many lessons on and off the field. As an only child, both sports have given me brotherhood and taught me how to work with and depend on others. Although we have our assigned roles on the fields, we all work together to win.
I have high football and baseball IQ, as well as strong mental and physical defense. I am a team leader and I lead by inspiring my teammates. My freshman year in High school I was awarded MVP of the Varsity Baseball team. The following sophomore year I was named a team Captain of the Varsity Baseball team. My freshman year I was also 4th in the Washington, DC as a DCIAA leader for football interceptions. I also volunteer at the National’s Baseball Academy for their YBA Play program, mentoring youth ages 6-12. I hope to one day make it big then return to my community and start my own sports academy.
I study hard on and off the field! My grades are and will always be important to me and I have worked very hard to exceed the athletic GPA standards. My goal is to always maintain at least a 3.5 GPA, but I have always exceeded that since my freshman year of high school. In college I want to major in Architectural Engineering, and I believe my demanding high school course load has helped prepare me for the challenge of balancing college academics and athletics in the future.
