Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Dyson Hurlburt. I am currently a senior at Apopka High school located in Central Florida. I played football for Apopka all four years of my high school football career and started for 3 years. Since sophomore year, I have started on the offensive line as Tackle, Guard, and Center, all at different points throughout the years. During my junior year, I made First Team All-State for the class 8A, as well as All Area. That year, I was also given the Doug Scott Leadership award by FCA. Recently, I was again elected for First Team All Area, and I hope to make All State once more. Playing offensive line was not my preferred positon, but my team needed me to fill in there and so I did what was best for the team. I was fortunate enough to help lead my team to two state championships in 2019 and 2021, although we unfortunately fell short of a victory both times. In 2020, we also made it to the state semifinals.
This offseason I am working hard to continue to improve my body's physical abilities, as well my performance in the classroom. Playing football is my passion and I aspire to have the opportunity to play at the next level while earning a Bachelor's degree. With this, I hope you will consider me a potential prospect for your football program.
