Personal Statement
Discipline, Integrity, Teamwork and Faith - something my father learned while playing football at the United States Air Force Academy and throughout his 20-plus year military career - which I have embraced as a student/athlete playing football since the age of 5 in Florida.
I had the honor of winning the "Heart of a Champion Award" in wrestling as a Sophomore - sometimes wrestling up 10-15 lbs in weight class to help the team. I pride myself in out-working, out-thinking and out-hustling on every play, and in all areas of life to lead from the front. I am a positive influence in the locker-room and an ultra-dependable player on the field with relentless pursuit and a non-stop motor. I am super competitive in all areas of life and place my faith in the Lord and my direction in life in doing what is right - "the next best thing...."
My goal is to follow in my father's footsteps and to play Division 1 Football while earning a degree in engineering and business, with my aspiration set on also gaining my Masters Degree immediately following undergrad much like my father did at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
I look forward to joining and adding to a football culture to play at a high level, build a winner and develop as a leader for that program - just as both my parents did while in college. What sets me apart and makes me different from other recruits is the deep and heartfelt discussions on character building, life, leadership, and competition I have had with my father, coaches, teammates and other mentors - these moments have helped refine me as a young man. I am committed to winning right and value diversity - priding myself on being the go-to team leader.
