STEPHAN BUCHER - Awarded Elite All-American Football Player Status 2013. Playing at The Citrus Bowl in The Showcase - All American Bowl in Orlando, Fl. January of 2014.
Currently I am the Starting Offensive Guard and Nose Guard for The Anclote Sharks at Anclote High School in Holiday, Fl..
I am a Senior so this will be my last year playing football with my high school team. This is by far the most important year for myself, my team, and my teammates. This is the last year we will all play together as The Anclote Sharks. It is our last chance to have that feeling every Friday night as a team to put on our pads and go out on the field and "Make It Happen". And because of that, I'm pushing myself and pushing my teammates to make this the best year of football we've ever played. All of us have been working hard and this is our time to shine, this year we want to go all the way. It is also the start of a new home for many of us to continue playing football and meet on the field with a new perspective of the game.
I have trained so hard during the past few years and yet still, I have found a way to step it up notch. This past summer my high school head coach, Coach Wicks recommended that I go to the "Down and Dirty" lineman camp in Lake Wales,Fl.. It was the first experience I've had to hit and play full contact with players my size across the board just like it will be in college. And It Rocks!!! "Down and Dirty"camp was great because It wasn't just one or two people on the line, it was all just linemen that are all striving to play in college from all over the Southeast. This camp was both the most challenging and one of most fun things I've experienced playing football yet.
What I would really like to study in college is mechanical engineering and neuroscience. The reason I made that decision was, I read an article in my biology class and I came upon something monumental. A team of scientists had created an almost working mechanical limb. It only had three settings and seemed somewhat basic compared to the normal human hand but it was still a monumental development. Simply being able to grasp an object with a mechanical device that replicated human hand movement through neurotransmission was to cool. So that is how I decided what I want to study after high school. I want to learn how to create mechanical devices that can replace or repair limbs for persons that have had a loss of limbs or function of limbs through sympathetic neurotransmission mechanical prosthesis.
I have two main goals this year win a championship and find my new college home for the fall of 2014.
However, I still have that kid in me that has the goal of making it all the way NFL.
GO SHARKS!!!!!!
