I want coaches to know that I am a good teammate and student on and off the field. I am respected by both my coaches and my teammates. I am more than “just a kicker” I have a good football IQ. I am capable of defending on kickoff and punt in addition to directional punting and kicking. I am process-oriented. I focus on the science and technique of the kick, it helps me to maintain a calm demeanor during high pressure moments on the field.
I am a leader on and off the field, not so much by what I say but how I act. I show up to every practice ready, willing and able to be coached. I am known for being inclusive and supportive of my teammates and younger kids. I recently earned my first job as a scorekeeper for a community youth sports program and I love it!
Off season I participate in olympic style weightlifting with Coach Joseph Hanson and take private kicking lessons to improve my skills. In the Summer of 2018 I competed in the Junior Olympics in Iowa and brought home hardware. The gains made with this style of training is not only helping my kicking but it was the difference maker taking our team from 2-8 last season to FHSAA 8A Florida State Champions this season. Plus, my already knowing proper technique and form in the snatch and clean and jerk will better prepare me for a college level work out regimine.
Over the next season I look forward to growing and developing into an athlete any coach would be proud to have on their team!
Respectfully,
Hudson Levine
