Personal Statement

Hello Coach,

My Name is Dylan M. Jones. I am currently an Senior attending 8A Lake Mary High School and apart of the great class of 2019. I am a three sport athlete (Football, Wrestling, Track).  GO RAMNATION !!!  

Academically, I am doing well and I am up for the challenge to continue to make the Honor Roll.

I've played Football, Basketball, Track ever since I was a little boy. In 2010 and 2011 I was a Hershey State finalist in South Carolina for 4 events (200 meter dash 2nd, 400 meter dash 2nd, 4x100 2nd, Softball Throw 5th).

My high school Freshman year I started at  Wide Receiver on a 8-0 team.  My first year of wrestling in High School I recorded a record of 11-0 on JV. I also won the Florida JV State Tournament at 120 lbs and Lake Mary's JV Most Valuable Player award in Wrestling. I am Currently on the Varsity football team for the 20181-2019 season and the leadership council for the team.

My inspiration are guys that are underdogs and works and grind harder than everybody else. For example, NFL players Reggie White and Josh Norman . Their stories on how they got to where they are inspire me everyday to work hard. Also, Kobe Bryant and Ray Lewis who were so ambitious inspire me to be the same. I have the mentality of a underdog. I always feel like I have to prove a point. My brothers also inspire me and are athletes.

My Favorite aspect of football is to make plays. I will do anything possible to help my team win. I like making big hits and causing fumbles. I know I have  many years of football ahead of me but at the end of the day I want to be the best player and teammate I can be. I strive to be the very best on and off the field.  I trained at D1 Sports and currently Cross Fit Exaluted with a trainer each week. You can view my latest highlights at the link below:
