Personal Statement
~~My name is Malik Douglas, and I just love myself some football. I have been playing football since the age of 6. Since then, I have aspired to play the game at the collegiate level with the hopes of opportunity to excel at the professional level as well. I am a year out of my senior year of high school. well rehabilitated from a mid season injury, and more determined to continue with my goals. Like i said before, ambition is the path to my success, and also something that runs through my veins!
The essence of sports is pure competition, and I am a competitor. I am currently a 5’11” 185 pound athlete, playing multiple positions on the football field (WR, RB, C, PR, and KR). I finished with the 7th highest overall rating, and ran the 3rd fastest 40m time of 4.5 out of 1,600 entries at the Nike Football Combine in Miami, Fla. I am always working to improve my talents by training to get bigger, stronger, and faster. Coaches have always complemented me on how well I listen and learn, and how coachable I am. I have also been told by other players, how wonderful and exciting I am to play with and/or against. And that brings out the best in me. My passion for the game allows me to find my footing, stay away from trouble, and use my talents in ways that are uplifting and edifying to my family, friends, coaches, teammates, and to all fans of the sport of football.
