Personal Statement
Winning the 4A lower state championship my freshmen year of high school as a starting left guard was one one the many things that has made me the person i am today, it tought me how it felt to be a winner and have that burning desire to play the game of football and succeed in everything i do. However, we lost the state championship later that year. As a competitive athlete this ripped my heart in peases. Although we lost it tought me that with every victory comes a defeat and we cant win everything, but it also tought me how it feels to be apart of something bigger than myself by forming a brotherhood stronger than you ever imagine amount me and my fellow teammates. This showed me that i needed to focus on my craft in order to benefit my team as a whole in hopes of winning state the fallowing year.
Unfortunately, i wound up moving to Florida the following summer before my sophomore year. I was a starting left guard when i started school at Seminal Ridge Community High School but however, my coach felt that I was excelling at guard so he asked if i was willing to play both sides of th ball and i was kinda nervous but i said sure couch. Throughout the season i earned the starting spot as left guard and starting deffencive tackle along with one of the team captain spots. i feel that this was where i found out who i was as a person because i felt that if i put my heart and soul into what i love i shall succeed weather we win or lose and i think that’s when you find out your true character. To me football is more than just a game, football allows us to find character through the challenges we may face and by the brotherhood that is created between the young men that are your teammates.
As a loving athlete of the game of football i feel i have what it takes to make it at the college level not only by my talents as a ball player but by my burning desire for the game and my competitive attitude for always wanting to excell on and off the field. I will do whatever it takes to make it and compete with anyone on the college level.
