Dear Prospective Colleges:
My Name is Dominick Smith. I am an upcoming sophomore at Merritt Island High School in Merritt Island, Florida, and will graduate with my class in 2025. I have played tackle football since I was 6 years old. In my Freshman season, I was a starter @ DE for the JV team where I led the team in tackles and sacks. I dressed out for every Varsity game including when our team went to the FHSAA 5A state championship game. Spring Season I have earned a starting spot on the varsity roster as an outside linebacker.
Outside of Football, I am a varsity wrestler. I ended my freshman season as a qualifier for the FHSAA State tournament by placing in both the district and regional tournaments. I wrestled up two brackets and competed in the 195lb weight class. I am ranked the top freshman in the state of Florida @195lbs.
Academically I have a 3.75 GPA and was honored to receive the best citizen award to close out my Jr. High School experience.
