  • Haiti 2011-Present/ Traveled to Ile-a-Vache during spring breaks of 2011-Present with a group of students I helped recruit. Built desks classrooms tables chairs and other basic furniture for people’s homes and the local school. Collected clothes food toys money uniforms and other hygienic supplies for donations. Interacted with the locals through soccer games singing dancing painting and photography.Raised money in Miami to buy a digital camera for each student in the local school and taught them how to operate them. The children’s photos were later displayed and sold in art galleries around Miami with funds directly benefiting the school. The school now has a better water system 7 new classrooms paid teachers soccer balls uniforms shoes and solar-paneled poles stationed at every mile. All results of our past mission trips

  • - 2012 Blended Delegation: People to People Summer Program Selected to participate in 19-day trip through Italy Sicily Greece Crete and Vatican City with a group of students from all over the United States. We interacted with local students and learned about their culture through intense itinerary including farming bread-making making gelato and pastries and playing multiple soccer matches. We traveled by plane train boat and horse through several cities combining daily group activities with individual swimming practice at various local 25 meter pools for which I would wake up three hours before everyone else in order to practice. I would practice every chance I could throughout these countries by myself in local pools with practices my coach would email me

  • - 2012 Presidential Inaugural Conference for Scholars Washington D.C. Selected as one of 8000 students in the nation to participate in unique eight-day conference in which I attended President Barack Obama’s second inauguration spoke with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and prominent military and media figures and attended various educational workshops to debate political issues and hone leadership skills.
