I grew up with a very supportive single mother who pushed me to become the greatest I could be in whatever I do. In addition, the people who I associated with were very competitive and they instilled in me to have the same attitude. From a very young age I participated in many activities and sports such as karate, soccer, baseball and basketball. It wasn’t until 8th grade that I tried football. I fell in love with football because of the various positions that I could play and the physical aspect of the game.
Playing football has taught me to never quit and to work harder to achieve greatness. My academic goal in high school is to reach or exceed a 3.8 GPA and get a high score on the SAT to earn a scholarship. I would like to major in Sports Marketing or Business in college. My main obstacle to play football was my weight. To compete in my high school varsity team, I dedicated my time to working out and eating correctly to gain muscle and weight. I started out weighing 120 lbs. and today I weigh 160 lbs.
I’m self-motivated, focused, dedicated and hardworking. In addition, I’m fast, physical and I have good technique in the cornerback position.
