Football has influenced my life in a lot of ways. I’d say the most impactful way though has to be the ability to overcome obstacles through hard work and consistency. I started playing football and fell in love with the game around the age of 7 while attending my older brother's practices my Dad helped coach. At an early age, I was overweight and told by many coaches and teammates that I was too heavy and slow to ever play QB. However I had a goal of playing quarterback, so I went to work, fell in love with the process, and haven’t stopped since. Throughout the process of my body changing, I was able to play nearly every position on the field. Which provided me with an advantage when it comes to my overall football IQ and ability to read the field. What started as simply wanting to be like my older brother, quickly turned into a passion for the greatest game on earth. Through football, anything is possible. It’s taught me that if you’re willing to put in the work, any obstacle can be overcome both on and off the field. I’m currently maintaining a 4.0 GPA in all gifted and advanced classes, while earning the highest accolades available in orchestra playing the viola and cello. Beyond what I can provide on the field, one of my greatest attributes is the ability to connect and lead my peers both on and off the field. I’m a natural born leader and any of my teachers, coaches, and Church leaders will confirm. When I'm not training or enjoying time at the beach, I'm typically checking in on my teammates to help keep them away from trouble and distractions. It takes every athlete on our team to accomplish our goals, and as a quarterback/leader, I take ownership in my team's success and failures. My goal is to continue to use football as a tool to pay for my education, continue my career and provide for my family. I’m just a kid with a dream and work ethic looking for a chance.
