Have played both Football and Baseball since I was 4 years old; but Football is my true passion! I've played almost every position for at least a few plays in a few games, whatever is needed for me to help the team win, with the exception of: QB & Safety. However, my key positions, the ones which are my best as well I have by far the most experience and still play to this day, are LB and FB.
I'm currently a Sophmore, 16 years old, 202 lbs., 5'10" and still growing, with a 3.4 GPA, Bench 265, Dead Lift 495 & Squat 480 and getting stronger, run the 40 in 5, but strongly beleive that my "on field game time speed" is significantly faster that that, starting at LB on Varsity where I run the D huddle to call the defencesive plays; with plans to also come out of the backfiled to both block and run on at least key plays. I am a scholar of the game and a very quick study who plays: smart, aggressively, fast and enjoys the contact.
Last year was the first year I did not play highly competitive travel Basball. Wanted to focus on High School Football and be 100% comitted to Football! Which brings me to a story that illustrates my true feelings on playing Football:
While I was on the Baseball field in between innings at Short Stop, I play 3rd & Pitcher as my key best positions but can also successfully play in the OF, Catcher and 1st base, anyway, while waiting for the inning to start I started to think about playing Football & tears just started to come down my cheeks as I thought about how I need to play Football and how I couldn't wait for it to start. My Dad saw that I was upset but didn't know why so he called me over and asked if: I was alright, was I sick, had someone said something, was I OK, what was going on?! I told him that I was just thinking about playing Football and how much I missed it and that I couldn't wait for it to start and I got emotional, I told him I need "to hit someone"; he assured me that Football season would be here soon and to re focus on the game at hand.
Coach, I promise that my passion to play Football & be my best, as illustrated by the story above will translate to not only my game play but each and every practise, as I come prepared both mentally and physically for every practise as well the games! I truly love this sport and greatly look forward to making an immediate positive contibution to your program! Thank you in advance for your consideration.
