Xavier Lyas '17 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate aspiration is to be the first person in my entire family to earn an athletic scholarship and become a civil engineer. After graduating from college, my plans are to follow my family’s proud tradition of serving in the military.  I feel as though I am a good candidate for an athletic scholarship because I strive to be the best I can be in the classroom as well as on the football field. I have a strong work ethic and am willing to get the job done. I’ll never give up on myself or my fellow teammates even if we are losing. I pride myself in being humble. I understand that I am not the best in world and have room to grow; therefore, I am willing to take constructive criticism in order to better myself and help the team.
