To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Andrew McCorkle. I began playing youth football at the age of 5. I have played all positions but really settled in to Defensive End during my most memorable years within Pop Warner. As I moved through High School, I began to have a love for the defensive side of the ball. I was primarily utilized as a DE and DT due to my quick first step. However, as my senior year season closed out my coaches began to use my skill set as a FB. This came to me naturally as I have a strong understanding of the defensive side of the ball and have a great ability to read the defense. I block well, understand the position and how much potential impact it can have on each play. I also played on special teams due to my ability to do my job effectively. My work ethic, loyalty, dedication and hard work set me apart from my team mates. I don't possess the will to quit.
Often times, I am the first to arrive to practice and games to assist with field set up or whatever is needed, and I am the last to leave ensuring everything is put away and the coaches no longer need any further assistance. I keep my grades and GPA up, never falling below a B average and I have never been in any trouble in school or with the law. I have a solid head on my shoulders, a good family up bringing and will be an asset to any college team that will take a chance on me. I have dreams and aspirations of playing football at the professional level and am looking forward to the challenges college has to offer. Thank you for taking the time to review my profile and I look forward to communicating with you.
Best Regards,
Andrew McCorkle
