Personal Statement

I started playing football when I was 12. I played for a youth organization called the Pinellas Park T-Birds. The T-Birds are a championship caliber organization and I was lucky enough to play under a High School coaching staff for my last two years of little league. Coach Crawford and his staff (Pinellas Park High School) taught me a lot about football, technique, explosiveness, and playing with a championship mindset. I also got the opportunity to play in the UYFL National Championship Tournament in Plant City Florida against the top teams from around the country. We played against a top 5 ranked team from Detroit called the "Old Town Ducks". They had a lot of really big linemen that I went up against. I held my own and did well but it taught me that just being big isn't enough, you have to be quick, move your feet, and play smart.

This year, as a 9th grader, I am fortunate to play for Lakewood High School which is one of the top High Schools in Pinellas County and the varsity team is currently ranked #40 in the State of Florida. I play on the JV team as a freshman and start at Defensive End and Offensive Tackle/Center (depending on the play and where they need me) and play both sides of the ball. Lakewood has produced a lot of top talent that has played for Division I schools and the NFL. Isaiah Wynn (Georgia/Patriots), Shaquem & Shaquille Griffin (UCF/Seahawks), Marquez Valdez-Scantling (USF/Packers), Dante Fowler Jr. (Florida/Rams) are just a few. I am really excited to learn from Coach Moore and the rest of the coaching staff as I continue my High School career.

Personally I try to be humble and very respectful to my coaches and teachers. My dad was in the Army and taught me to say yes sir and yes ma'am from a young age. I'm very quiet most of the time but I do my talking on the field. In the class room I am in an advanced program called the "Center for Advanced Technology" (CAT). Most of my classes are honors classes (Algebra 2 Hon, Physics Hon, English 2 Hon, World Hist Hon) and then I also have technology focused classes such as Robotics and Digital Info Tech where I am working on my Microsoft Certification. My goal for college is to get accepted into a top Engineering Program while also playing D1 Football. Beyond Football I would love to become an Engineer.
