Personal Statement
I Love the game of football. From the time I was young, I knew I had play. The area I grew up in did not have non-weight restricted youth football leagues, which prevented me from playing as I am a lineman. My parents bought me pads and a helmet and I practiced in my yard with my older brother. I utilized every opportunity I had to throw a football and try to play When I moved to Florida, I took advantage of the opportunities given to me and worked tirelessly to become a leader on and off the football field.
I have the desire, the passion, and the ability to play football at the college level. My work ethic is solid. I am grounded in discipline and I do not ever give up. I work continuously to become a better athlete, student and leader.
I am respectful to my teachers and coaches. I believe in modeling behavior that can be admired and looked up to by others. I also believe in learning from those who have more experience and knowledge than I do. I am eager. I want to succeed.
My academic performance is extremely important to me. I manage academics, football, weightlifting, along with other activities while maintaining a high grade point average. I do not believe in excuses for poor performance, whether academic or athletic. I maintain my grades to create the future I want.
I work hard. I play hard. I will be an asset on and off of the football field. I hope to one day, take my experiences and share them with other young athletes who love this game as much as I do.
I want the opportunity to take my skills to the next level. If I am lucky enough to recieve that opportunity, I will put in the work. I will put in the time. I will be successful.
Thank you for your consideration.
