Personal Statement
I am a 6’3” 265lb senior from Tallahassee, Florida. I have been on the Florida State University School (Florida High) Varsity Football team for four years. As a sophomore, I was a two-way starter at Offensive Guard and Defensive Tackle. Our team has been to the State Semi-Finals in Class 3A the last two years. Additionally, I am in my third-year lettering on the Varsity weightlifting team and was a Regional Qualifier last year. I hold the school weightlifting record for clean and jerk. I am competing my second year as a Thrower on Track and Field this year.
I have a 4.1 WGPA while taking primarily honors and AP classes. I should complete most of my graduation requirements by the end of my junior year. I am interested in the field of Exercise Science as a major and looking for a school that offers advanced degrees in this area of study.
I am the fastest lineman on our team and recently ran a 5.3sec 40-yd dash and a 4.88sec Pro Agility shuttle at The Opening Combine in Orlando. These scores were one of the top two fastest times for Class of 2021 Offensive linemen. I also had a 26.8 vertical that was the top two for Class of 2021 OL as well. My coaches have always been very complimentary of me and consider me respectful, dependable, hard-working and very coachable. My dream is to play football at the next level. I desire to stay somewhere in the southern or eastern regions of the US, but not opposed to considering other locations if there’s a good fit with my academic goals and football.
