Personal Statement
My name is Andrew Grisack and I’m 6’1, 190 pounds. Ever since I was in kindergarten, I played soccer for my local club and eventually became the captain of my team. I learned how to be a leader on and off the field and that has carried over into my football career. I found my love for kicking/punting in 7th grade after transferring to CDS. My friends convinced me to play football and I never looked back. From the moment I first put on my helmet, I have dreamed of playing football at the collegiate level. I pride myself on being a student athlete who will always work as hard as possible on the field as well as in the classroom. I train daily to ensure that I am the best possible player and teammate I can be. I study diligently, and pride myself for being a top student and leader in the classroom. Some of the best skills I have acquired throughout my life include being a fast learner, well balanced between sports and academics, perseverant, patient, coachable, and I learn from my mistakes. This past March I reached a personal goal of being able to kick a 57 yard field goal and averaged 44 yard punts (from Los) with 4.5 seconds of airtime. I plan on continuing to improve my skill so I am able to compete at the collegiate level and make an impact on my future team.
