Personal Statement
My mother told my father that if I was going to play football, I would start as young as possible since my sibling did not start until he was in middle school. As a result, I started playing football at the age of six and have played ever since. I love the preparation, physicality and mental strength it takes to play this sport and excel in this sport. My athletic ability came naturally to me but I still worked hard to develop my strength as a man both on and off the field. I work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the field. Playing two sports year-round has taught me to properly manage my time, keep myself healthy, and stay out of trouble.
My parents have provided me privileges they did not have growing up and this is something I do not take for granted. I have had the common experience of being an underrated player behind other teammates; however, that did not dissuade me from becoming a star athlete for both my football and baseball teams. It only served as fuel to develop my character and make me work harder to show my true worth on the field.
I plan to graduate with honors in preparation for a successful college career where I plan to major in Criminal Justice or Law. My selected college should suit me both academically as well as athletically since both are equally important. I want to play for a Coach that will help teach me the true game of football and develop my talents. I plan to make an immediate impact on my team.
