I, Scott Schenke, currently do not have a particular person that I look up to. There are teachers, coaches, friends, and family members who have taught, shared, and guided me. I believe in dreams, goals, and perseverance. College choice is the next stepping stone on my journey. My collegiate goals are to attend an undergraduate program that will allow me to pursue a career and compete at the college level in football. I have strong work ethics, and determined to be the best at what I do. My strength is that I have a great number of interests that are hands on in addition to my academics. For instance, in football season, I am committed to approximately 15 hours of practice and games per week. On weekends, I volunteer at the Mote Marine Mammal Center for four hours. Attending Venice High School, I take honors courses and maintain a 3.9 GPA. As for a weakness, I'd probably have to say that I am the kind of person who likes to get things done correctly and in a timely fashion so sometimes I am not good about delegating responsibilities to others. I tend to like my way so I need to be more open to others' ideas. Volunteering at Mote Marine has helped improve my communication skills and patience in speaking with people who are not my peers, particularly young children and elderly. In closing, I am a HARD working person and give 100%.
