This spring I had to prove something for myself and for my team. As you know if you look at my size I'm undersized for my position and I had to replace someone who was a really good athlete so during the offseason I was determined to get stronger, faster, and learn not get down on myself if I messed up. One thing about me I hate failing, it doesn't matter how big or little it is I hate failing. One thing I've learned is failing sucks and hurts but it gets you stronger. So this spring when I strapped up ready for war in our real spring game at the end of the game I was going to know I gave my all and I played my heart out, that night I felt like it was the beginning of something special for me I realized my potential on the field.
One other thing about me is I know there's millions of excuses out there for why people did this or did that but my grades are not that great but I do have reasons. My freshman years lost my grandfather and it was devastating I struggled for awhile but I got better because I knew he was in a better place. Towards the end of my junior year of football my grandmother fell and broke her hip. My grandmother was everything to me she was next to my mother and father in my heart. She never got better after surgery and later passed away, it was the hardest thing in life for me to deal with. I felt rage and anger with everything I did. I later talked with a counselor it helped a little but not the anger and rage. I found my peace in the weight room, and on the field. I found my drive and to this day before I step on the field I dedicate my gameplay to them for having a huge impact on what got me to that point.
I guarantee you have heard everything in the book about why I'm good for your team but I promise one thing, if you invest in me your going to get your money's worth. Every time I strap on my pads your going to get a 60 minute show of determination, hardworking, pure love and heart for the game of football, and the payoff of me going hard 5 days a week in the weight room to improve my game on the field. So if you invest in me your going to what you need and want from a true player of the game.
