I am Joshua Montford, a 6'1" center. I start at this position for Wheeler County High School in Alamo, GA. I didn't play my freshman year, but have started since then. I also started on defense as a nose guard. To me I had a great, but very challenging sophmore season. I love the weight room, knowing every lift you take, is gonna help you the 60 minutes you play every Friday an Saturday. At the peak of my spring training my bench press was at 240 an rising. A few weeks before that, my appendix ruptured and I had to have emergency surgery. I had to sit out seven weeks, missing my spring training and team workouts. On a good note I am back in the weight room and regaining my strength. I am excited for the upcoming season and the opportunities ahead. My current GPA is 3.8, 3.9. I have always had good grades and I plan on keeping it that way. I am ready for college, and the challenges that I have to take on. While in college I plan to have a degree in agriculture and/or business. I would love to have my own poultry hatchery operation when I am done with college. Before I graduate from high school, I plan on being at the best of my ability for the school that recognizes my talents. I will respect my teamates and coaches. I will work hard on and off the field to represent my family and my school in a positive manner. I am ready to grow as an athlete and I cannot wait to accomplish great things while in college, not only on the gridiron, but in the classroom as well.
