Personal Statement

Since playing football for the first time in 5th grade, I knew it was the sport for me.  I've been very fortunate to play for a great coaching staff at North Oconee HS and with a bunch of great teammates.

In '22, I made great strides. I was invited to compete in the VTO Sports All America Challenge and NextGen's 'The Show' for Summer '22 as a Tight End. For our season, I was a two-way starter on North Oconee at Tight End and Defensive End. We finished the season 13-1, the best win total ever for our school, won the Region 8 4A Championship and made it to the GHSA semi-final game. I was named to the RecruitGeorgia 4A All-State team (hm) and 1st Team All-Region as a Tight End for 4A, Region 8. I also earned a number of game awards from my coaches - lineman of the week, havoc (most disruptive on d), skillet (most pancake blocks) and wood (biggest block) - several times this season.

I spent a lot of time before the '22 season learning, working and growing. I love to practice, work hard and most importantly, I love to hit. Following my freshman season at North Oconee, I decided that I need to get stronger and bigger. From November 2020 to August 2022, I  gained 65 pounds, increased my speed and set strength records for my school.

Half way through my sophomore season, my coaches moved me to tight end. I instantly fell in love with the position.  I also knew that TE was what I wanted to pursue all the way through college. I love how the position puts me get in the trenches to block for my teammates.  I love being able to release and go catch the ball or block downfield. The position allows me to use my strengths - size, speed and hands - to help the team. I was thrilled to be a part of a team in '21 that won the Region 8 4A Championship and made it to the GHSA semi-finals, a first for the program.

I'm excited to continue my growth, to help my team, and find a college that will want me to be a part of their program. I've made so many strides in a short time and I can't wait to see whats next. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Hope to hear from you!
