My name is Jameson Sellers, better known as Garrett. I am 6’3” and weigh 298lbs and I am a Junior. The most important things in my life are God, Family, School, and Football. Each day I strive to be a better person through God and my Family while focusing on my performance in the classroom. I attend Gilmer High School in Ellijay, Georgia, located in the North Georgia Mountains and currently have a 4.0 GPA ranked 6th of 342 students. I plan to attend an accredited college, be an excellent student, maintain a high GPA, and major in the medical field.
Football is my passion. The last three consecutive seasons, my team made the 7AAAA State Playoffs while winning the most games in school history. I have played Varsity Football for three years. I lettered my Freshman year as Center, received Linemen of the Week numerous times. I started 12 consecutive games at Center as a Sophomore, awarded Scholar Athlete for the highest GPA and earned Lineman of the Week Award numerous times. As a Junior, I began the season at Center, but was moved to Offensive Tackle in order to benefit my team. I was voted First Team All-Region Center, Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman, Scholar Athlete for the highest GPA, and lineman of the week. In the offseason, I participate in an organized speed/agility/plyometric program, while keeping a strict weight lifting regime.
During college, I will push myself past my own personal limits to be the best I can be. I will strive to be the teams’ best leader and produce on the field while setting good examples off the field through good moral character and sound judgment. The success of my team has always been of upmost importance to me and I will work diligently each day on and offseason to ensure we are meeting our goals. I want to play at the highest competition level possible and make a big impact on any team in which I play. I won't stop working until I reach my goals, and when I do, I will push myself even harder to go further. All in all, I feel like I am headed in the right direction on the path of life and look forward to my journey as a student-athlete in the college world and beyond. I know that I am still learning and developing my athletic abilities, but I must continue to perfect my overall abilities as a person as well. Thank you for taking the time in reading my message and viewing my profile/video.
