Personal Statement
Growing up my team won the championship nearly every year, but that isn't what stuck with me. What stuck with me was the times we lost by a field goal in, the times when we lost in the last seconds of a game. The games where you had to battle all four quarters. Losing a game in the finals does something to you. It makes you realize that you're going to face adversities and battles in life. It made me improve my work ethic and my drive. Those experiences made me cross the line of becoming a leader.
Being in a program of that magnitude, i grasped the ideas of teamwork, commitment and trust. I'm searching for a program that will raise my play on the field and in the classroom. I firmly believe academics come first. The ability to play college ball is within me. The ability to help a program grow is within me. As a hard worker, I will compete.
