Clay Cross '10 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'2" offensive lineman with a strong desire to play football on the collegiate level. Although playing football will be a great achievement, I fully understand that getting a higher level education is first priority. I am a senior at Clinch County High School, a small Class A school in southern Georgia known for its sports championships in football, baseball, and basketball. For 2009, the Clinch County Panther football team ended its great season at 10-4, falling to Wilcox County (GA) in the semi-state championship. I have earned my lifeguard training certification and worked at Wild Adventures Water and Theme Park, Valdosta GA. I attended a lineman football camp at University of Florida and a one-day camp at Georgia Southern University. I have made official visits to Wofford College and Florida A & M University. My mom (Ronda Cross-Scott) is a pharmacist graduating from the University of Georgia and my stepfather (Lindsay Scott) played on UGA's 1980 National Football team. I also have grandparents who graduated from historically black colleges- Morehouse College and Albany State University, with higher educational degrees from Valdosta State University.
