took time away form my vacation (in Panama City Beach Florida) and drove up to Dothan for the camp. Camp was very well organized - 8 different workout stations, fast paced - tested your athleticism and endurance -- OL/DL worked on 1 on 1 - testing feet and hand speed. great experience. Met Coach Grass, coach Bates and coach Clark -- very good camp to work with all of the coaches - before off to the position coach.

2014 Gwinnett County Freshman Wrestling Tournament

Chandler finished 2nd in the 195# Gwinnett County Freshman Wrestling tournament. Chandler advanced to the Finals after pinning his first 2 opponents. Due to Chandler's football commitment, he has not been able to attend wrestling practice this season. Prior to this tournament - Chandler's last wrestling meet was in December 2012, where he placed 1st in the Gwinnett County Youth Championship - 14U 170#, as a 13 yearold..

Georgia AAAAAA State Playoffs
11/16/13 to 12/14/13
Finished regular season 9-1, ranked #50 in the nation, 1st in the State of Georgia. Seeded 3rd in Region 7 AAAAAA bracket (by Coin toss). Defeated teams: Milton, Archer, McEachern before advancing to the State playoffs vs Returning State Champions Norcross. Competed against Norcross on December 14th and even though North Gwinnett played hard - Norcross was victorious for the 2013 State Title. North Gwinnett finished 2nd.

8th Grade - Footall University National Championship 2012-2013

Competed in the 2012/2013 8th Grade Football University National Championship tournament. We competed against teams from South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, Kentucky, Massachusetts on our way to San Antonio, Tx to play Colorado in the Alamo Dome. We defeated Colorado 32-6 for the championship title, allowing only 32 total yards and 4 1st downs to a very strong Colorado team.. During our quest, we scored 180+ pts in 6 games, while only giving up 24 points. A rule for the tournament was no blocking below the waist, so Id use my quick feet and quick hands to get the advantage from my center spot to hold-off the very strong defensive fronts. I scored 92+ in all blocking and snapping for the entire tournament.

Drills to quicken my hands upward motion and keeping my feet under my bottom for a level squared stance. Pass blocking drills - keeping shoulders parallel to LOS. Short choppy steps and slide inside - if necessary. Keep me between defender and QB. Run block - keep me between defender and hole. short choppy steps to maintain control.
