Personal Statement

To receive a degree in sports medicine. What makes me a good candidate? I am a hard worker, I like to study our playbook and love watching film, giving 110% on the practice field, in games and in the weight room. I am a person of great character I’m humble, respectful, disciplined and hold myself to a higher standard than others. I play football and track and field also prior to high school I played baseball and basketball. Academically I enjoy reading and writing to me my studies are more important than playing sports I’m a great athlete but I’m a greater student!

Re: Marques Hickson Hello, my name is Randy Breaux and I am the Camp Director for the Louisiana Line Camp located on the Nicholls State University Campus in Thibodaux, Louisiana. I had the pleasure of meeting Marques this summer when he attended our camp, making the trip from Hawaii to Thibodaux. Marques is an impressive young man both physically, athletically, and personally. His work ethic and willingness to take coaching was very evident as he went through our 3 practices a day and our nightly film sessions. His athletic ability was on display as we went through our drill work. Probably the most impressive was his ability to adapt to a very different part of the country. He adapted to the culture of the south Louisiana players that he interacted with. The campers took him as a leader because of his personality and ability to work hard and lead by example. I would like to highly recommend Marques as a prospect to any program in the US. I feel that the limit for this young man is very high and he would make any University proud to have him as a member.
