My name is Kaulana Kaui; I’m a two way football player (LB, TE) from Hawaii and have just completed my last season of high school football with the Kapaa Warriors. We ended our season as the Kauai
Interscholastic Federation Champions and I was named the 2011 K. I. F. All
Conference Defensive Player of The Year, as a linebacker. I am 5'10", currently 205 pounds, the last time i tested my 40 yard dash time was the summer before my senior year of football and my time was a 4.9. However, our team was not tested on any other of the listed statistics. I was a team and defensive captain for my senior year, i earned that roll by working hard and showing commitment to my team. I can offer great leadership skills, outstanding work ethic, and i am a gamer in the sense that i love to play ball.
I’m interested in playing football and competing in wrestling at a collegiate level. I'm interested in competing in football and wrestling at a collegiate level because i feel i would be a great asset to any college football and wrestling team. Currently as i wait to finalize where i will be attending college i use my spare time to coach beginners wrestling for the Kauai Police Activities League as well as participate in the advanced wrestling class. I plan on entering the Hawaii AAU state wrestling tournament this year in May 2012.
As of where i want to go to school, my options are open. I would like to go to a school where i could study mechanical engineering and or machine tool technology. As far as what states i would like to go to school in, i would like to stay in the central to western states.
My family definitely has financial need, we are a family of seven so any financial help would be much appreciated. So in the end, i am going to have to settle for a college that would suit me best financially because it would be a burden if i went to a school that my family and i really couldnt afford.
I gave not yet narrowed down my major, but i do know that i want to major in something like engineering or machine tool technology.
My athletig goals are to make the team, and hopefully compete for the final starting position. As of for wrestling, i want to make the team and wrestle at college meets because i love that wrestling tests your abilities and your will power. As of where i would like to do this, any college offering enough financial help so that i can attend that school comfortably.
