Personal Statement
My ultimate college goal is to earn a degree that will be worthwhile and satisfying to me that will provide me with a great career. Not only do I want to be a college graduate, I want to gain the knowledge necessary to be successful in life. My dream is to play sports at a college level. My main goal for now is to work hard enough on the field and in the classroom to earn a full-ride football scholarship so I can realize my dream. I want to earn my way through college rather than relying on my family to provide me an education.
I am a player that brings a positive attitude with me to the field. I am well-liked by those around me. I am not afraid to be vocal with my teammates and I am very aware of not only my own blocking assignments, but my teammates' as well. We push each other to be our best. In practice, I am focused and competetive- I don't want one teammate to beat me in ANY drill! I push to be my best on every single play. I come from a family that encourages me to excel in all areas of my schooling. I take it seriously. This past year I am proud to say that I was eligible for the Junior Honor Society. Both schooling and athletics are equally important to me. Outside of school, I am very active in my church and Scouting groups and serve in leadership capacities for both. I am currently finishing up my Eagle Scout Award. I also earned the Arrow of Light award, the highest award in Cub Scouts. I play the piano, I love to learn, I have a love for life and activity and I strive to be my best! My teachers have always described me as a leader among my peers and I know I am an influence for good for those around me. I know you'll be happy with me, my attitude, my work ethic and my standards. I will prove to be an upstanding and outstanding person and athlete!
