Personal Statement
My parents have always told me that I could throw a spiral since the time I could walk. Once I began playing with a team, I have been the starting quarterback on my team, from flag football when I was 7 to Bishop Kelly High School. As a quarterback, I love the responsibility I have for a team’s success, whether good or bad, and I use feedback from teammates and coaches to become a better player.
At Bishop Kelly, we stress a strong brotherhood with our teams and this is something that our 2018 football team excels at. As quarterback of the team, I’ve done my best to help promote this brotherhood and bring everyone closer. In the 2018 season we are conference champions with a record of 11-1 and are moving aggressively towards a state championship.
As a player, my goal has always been to never stop improving on the field and in the classroom. This drive comes out especially in my mechanics. For the last two years, I have been working with John Beck and Taylor Kelly at 3DQB to fine tune my throwing mechanics. They have taught me to focus on the little things and to never stop striving for perfection.
My philosophy with playing football has always been to play until someone tells me I can’t. Although I’m not exactly sure what I want to study In college, I’d like to attend a school where I can discover this path through strong academics and a football program where my strengths as a player will grow and be challenged.
