My name is Alec Dhaenens. I am a junior and play football and basketball at Fruitland High School in the state of Idaho. I am 6'3" and weigh 230 lbs. My team won the 3A state championship last year and has played in the state championship game the last six years. I run the 40 in 4.8 seconds, shuttle run in 4.39 seconds and have a vertical jump of 28.5". I play tight end, defensive end, and special teams. I have also played full back and linebacker. I was selected the MVP player my sophomore year for the J.V. team.
My goal is to play football in college, win our district conference and another state championshipin football and basketball. I attended the National Underclass Combine (NUC) in Boise, Idaho and won the MVP Tight End Award and the Leadership Award. I was invited and attended the NUC U100 in Los Angeles California this summer. I did very well at this competition and was invited to NUC TOP 15 at the University of Oklahoma. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend this event, due to a family reunion. I also attended football camp this summer at Boise State, University of Oregon, Fruitland High School Team Camp and Northwest Elite Football Clinic. All spring and summer I drove 2 hours, 2 times a week to the Parisi speed school. My times in the 40 and shuttle run improved and so did my verticle jump (28.5").
My GPA is a 3.9 earned in a college prepartory classes. I will take my SAT & ACT tests this spring and again next fall. I plan to major in Engineering in college. I am in the National Honor Society, Natural Helpers, FFA and volunteer reading at Fruitland Elementary school and coaching for local sports groups. I am also registered with the NCAA.
I am a highly motivated person and have set my goal to play football in college. My goal this year is to continue to get stronger, increase my vertical to 30", decrease my 40 time to 4.6-4.7 seconds and improve my foot speed and core strength.
