Personal Statement
Football is my favorite sport. I want to go beyond the high school level. I would like to play college football, at whatever level that is the best fit, and I'm willing to work to achieve my goal. I work out four days a week. I have never missed a day since the end of last season and don't plan on it. During my junior year, I started for both sides as a D end and an O guard. During my sophomore year, I started varsity on the OL as a guard. I also started both sides on junior varsity as a D end and O guard. During my freshmen year, I started for the JV on the Defensive line. I have played football ever since I was able to play flag football at the YMCA, and I have loved the sport ever since. I have learned to have a strong work ethic by growing up working on my Dad and Grandpa's farm. I started lifting with a Bowflex in sixth grade. In seventh grade I gradually moved into a machine and free weights. In sixth, seventh, and eighth grade I woke up around 5:30 in the morning and lifted before going to school. I have been raised to work hard and do well in school. I try to do the best I can academically and on the football field and I love learning new blocking techniques at camps and perfecting them on the field. My coaches are very supportive and have been a great help during my development in high school.
