Personal Statement
My name is Logan Ambroz and I am a student-Athlete at Barrington High School. Academics and athletics have been a huge influence on my entire life from pee-wee football through my high school career. I have competed at an elite level in football, lacrosse, and wrestling.
I consider myself a very hard worker both in the classroom and on the field, and my coaches and teachers would agree. I have pushed myself to be a better athlete by competing in the highest possible level, and I’ve pushed myself as a student by taking primarily AP and Honors classes at Barrington. I am also living the “Broncos Committed” lifestyle of being drug and alcohol free, as football players we set a precedent for other students to live a healthy lifestyle as well. Giving back to the community is also an important aspect of Barrington football and my life. I have volunteered over 200 hours to the tutoring, training, and support of individuals with special needs to live a healthier, more inclusive life. Along with academic and community work I've dedicated myself to athletics. Putting in a 100% effort to weight training, conditioning, and position work whenever possible through my work at Leseur training systems, and EFT sports performance. Last season I started on both sides of the field at defensive end and offensive tackle. I was brought up to Varsity as a Sophomore to compete in the playoffs. I want the opportunity to compete at a higher level. I am looking for the most prestigious academic and athletic school that is the best fit for me. I promise to give a perfect effort to any coach who gives me a chance going forward.
