Sage Shindler '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sage Shindler, 

I've loved playing football for as long as I can remember. It has been a huge part of my life for over 10 years and i love every second of it. The sport has taught me how to get up no matter how many times you get put on the ground, how to work with people who want the same thing as you, and how to lead. You and many other people may see my size I think that I can't play football. For most of my life, I have heard that. I came into high school my freshman year at about 100 lbs. I understood what it would take to be able to get on the field, and by the start of my junior season I was 160 lbs and had grown to 5'9. As soon as I stepped on the field I knew all the lifting, eating, protein filled days were well worth it. While people still doubted, I helped my team achieve a 9-0 record for the first time in team history, and in doing so broke 4 school records. I'd say the thing that has gotten me this far is my refusal to quit. No matter how many people tell me I won't be able to do it, I will always do everything I can to prove them wrong. Of course, football would not be possible without school, and I plan on pursuing a law degree, and becoming a lawyer once my football career has come to an end.
