I learned the value of hard work and commitment my 7th and 8th-grade years, from my Junior High wrestling coach. He was the first to teach me that nothing good comes easy and if I want something I'll have to go get it myself. That doesn't go for just sports, it's true for life too. Since then, I've always had a different mindset in school and in sports. I've always wanted to be better, and "great" wasn't good enough for me. If I miss an answer on the test but still get a good grade, I get annoyed. I always take time and make sure I know that information going forward. The same goes for sports. If I make a mistake on a play I work my tail off to make sure it doesn't happen again. I may not be the strongest or fastest guy on a team, but I will strive to be the most committed and hardest working athlete and student on the team, wherever I end up playing ball at.
