My passion for the game of football and being a member of the brotherhood that solidifies a team is equally matched with my desire to meet and exceed my academic goals. I not only understand the importance of work ethic, but have demonstrated on and off the field the strength of my character and my desire to succeed. Being a two year captain and a three year starting kicker, I am a leader in every aspect of the game. Always striving to improve, I have attended national specialist camps. I “[make] kicks off the ground and [have] 50+ yard range” (Chris Sailer Kicking write-up).
I am one of the top students in my class, am a member of National Honor Society, and have earned Superior Honor Roll accolades each semester. Also earning the title of Illinois State Scholar. I am a squad leader of my high school band, playing in the percussion section throughout my entire high school career. In college, I plan to earn a degree in Elementary Education in hopes of becoming a teacher that will also pursue a position in elementary administration. My passion for this became clear to me as I developed and initiated a mentoring program (known as Viking 2 Viking) between students at my high school and the elementary school within my district. I am looking for a college where I will be a good fit: one with strong athletic and academic programs. I will be a talented addition to the team and in the classroom.
