Personal Statement
My ambition is to attend an university that allows me to grow as an individual and a football player.
My passion for football began when I was two years old going to high school games watching my Uncle play. Before and after games his teammates would have me on the field “tackling” and tossing the ball. My sister is a year older and all the cheerleaders would grab her. Living in a small town in Illinois we didn’t have football until third grade and that was flag. My fourth grade year I joined the first fourth grade full tackle program. Our team, lead by Jarred Simmons, played mostly fifth grade teams. We went undefeated. We continued together through eighth grade and remained undefeated for five years.
Coach Simmons wanted to teach us big plays at a young age. We ran the spread/shotgun with two back set. I played starting right guard for four years and starting center for one year.
My freshman year of high school I started on the JV team as left tackle. During my sophomore year I am going to be starting left tackle at Varsity level. I dream to play for a university one day to further my football career.
