I would like to introduce myself. My name is Kegan North, and I am in my junior year at Fulton High School in Fulton, Illinois. Currently, I weigh in around 225 lbs and stand 6’2”.
As a sophomore, I was moved up to the Varsity football team and have started every game while playing tight end and outside linebacker. Prior to playing with the Varsity squad last year, my positions were middle linebacker and offensive guard. During the past several years, I have received defensive player of the year, including my freshman year at Fulton High.
I was nominated as an All-Conference Honorable Mention tight end as a sophomore in the best small school football conference in Illinois. I was also selected as Honorable Mention on the All-Western Illinois Team last year, as a sophomore.
Academically, I have maintained a strong 3.2 average at Fulton High, which I intend to increase.
In the weight room, I can power clean 235 lbs, dead-lift 395 lbs, bench 225 lbs and squat 335 lbs.
Junior year I was selected on our team as a Captain, Defensive MVP, 1st Team LB and 2nd Team TE in our conference. I also received 1st team recognition from Sauk Valley Gazette, Quad City Times, Clinton Herald and the Quad City Argus Dispatch newspapers.
My Senior season I was a 2nd year team captain, 1st Team All State LB, 1st Team All Conf TE and LB, 1st Team All Area TE and LB, and also received 1st Team recognition from the Sauk Valley Paper, The Sterling Gazette, The Quad City Times, The Clinton Herald, and The Argus Dispatch newspapers just to name a few.
On and off the field I strive to be a leader, setting good examples for the younger players to follow. During my sophomore football season, I witnessed firsthand how nothing is guaranteed. If you want something you have to go get it, with authority. I make a point to workout year round, with the mindset that the day I take off, is the day that I allow someone to get ahead of me. I believe I will be able to play football at the next level because of my hard work, dedication, teamwork and because I want it.
Thank you for your time.
