Ty Downen Weeks 1...Personal Statement
My name is Ty Downen and I am a starting Wide Receiver, Defensive End & Long Snapper for the Herrin Tigers Varsity Football Team. My goal is to play football and the next level. I am a leader on my team and I am not afraid to put in the work and effort it takes to be a great leader, teammate and player. I worked hard in the off season by attending camps & training hard in the weight room. I am dedicated to my team and to my commitment to want to play at the next level. I helped my team secure the SIRR Ohio Conference Championship in just week 7 of this season. We made it to the second round of the playoffs. I was chosen as 1st Team All Conference this season.

I was one of 25 or so WR's chosen to participate in the Iberia Bank Air it Out & QB Bulls-eye competition on the Saturday Night of camp at Nicholls State University. The WR's chosen to participate in this event were picked by the coaches and the top performing WR's at the Camp. The chosen WR's got to receive for some of the top College QB's.
