Personal Statement
In 2012, I won my fourth 5A Illinois state football championship in a row. I am an All State Kicker/Punter as selected to the Coaches Association, EdgyTim and the Chicago Tribune all state teams. In my high school career, I have amassed 625 live game kicks, giving me a high level of confidence and comfort each time I step onto the field. My long FG is 54 yds. During my senior year, I connected on two walk off game winning FG's (2-2), the second of which was a 34 yard FG while trailing by one point with 5 seconds left in the second round of the playoffs. Senior year KO average was 64 yds and I connected on 112 straight PAT’s (2nd all time nationally).
I offer leadership to my team through the individual work ethic I display with my special team positions. I was selected to be a co-captain and helped lead my team by scoring at crucial moments and establishing strong field position each game through touchbacks, properly executed directional kicks and punts. My goal for my college football career is to play at the highest possible level and execute for my team when the game is on the line. Having kicked in the Chicago area, I am very comfortable in bad weather environments (wind, rain, cold).
I am open to schools in any part of the country. Academically, I have a 28 on my ACT, 3.5 GPA in an honors curriculum and am president of my schools National Honor Society. I also made the Academic All State Football team. Business and finance are very appealing to me.
