My biggest and most important accomplishment to me is getting nominated for the national honor society, and my growth in mentality. I worked extremely hard to maintain a good grade point average and have zero problems off the the field as well as in the classroom. I started playing football at a very young age, and still continue to play. I have a lot to overcome including obstacles and people because my size is seen as a downfall to them, but I’ll never let my size be a problem for me. I’ve always had to work 5 times harder than another player In all of my sports I have played including football and basketball because I was never the biggest or tallest player. Football and sports in general taught me how to be resilient and how to overcome adversity in various ways. My role model in football is Jakeem grant a wide receiver for the Miami dolphins. He’s my role model not because of his talents on the field, but how hard he works and plays. He’s easily the smallest player on the field, but he’s always moving faster and playing harder than everybody else at all times. He’s never going to go slower than his current speed or work less than what he did yesterday, and I want to keep that in mind, and persevere to continue to have that mentality as well. With this mentality, I’ll always work hard no matter the circumstance, even though I know I’m not going to ever be the biggest, I can be the hardest working student athlete off and on the field.
